Operations research and AI are actually complementary. What is operations research? Well, it's the science of logistics. It's how things are moved around. Think of the example of a Amazon truck driver. He doesn't just randomly pick up packages and drive randomly to someone's house. It's all planned and scientifically worked out with thousands and thousands of variables, even millions of variables. And it's the science of that operations. Well, this is actually complementary to AI because AI is also helping to unravel the difficult solution, but it can't do it on its own.

So, operations research and AI working together actually produces better results, and cheaper results, and quicker results.
